Even Though Nevada had legislated the right to vote in November 3, 1948 women of color continue to battle for equitable rights that mirror their white sisters. Limiting legislation, personal conflictions and their male counterparts' arguing that women could not handle the responsibilities needed to be intellectual voters continue to keep women from the polls. The movement toward inequality has pushed into the twenty-first century with Hispanic women now taking up the cause to gain their equitable rights and responsibilities.
